Wsus computer not updating

Could it be some conflict with the AD policy which had originally pointed them to the old WSUS server (I didn't set up that policy so I'm not terribly familiar with it)?

Open a CMD window and do a gpresult /v, you can see what WSUS policy is applied to the may need to reset authorization and there is a way to get it to report it is /updatenow.

After doing so, updates, such as the Windows 10 v1607, can be distributed via WSUS.

If this is the case, then all is working, and you just need to hit "Check for Updates" on the client.

Yes you can force a Windows client to download and install updates when you want.

You need to adapt the owner of the directory and the permissions so that the new ADMX files can be copied to the directory on the DC and the server on which the policy is edited.

Also be sure to copy the ADML files to the appropriate language subdirectory (e.g., en-us for American English).
